Vegan and vegetarian distribution specialists, Bravura Foods contacted Veganuary to tell us all about the delicious new vegan products being launched by their brands this year.

First up, launching in the UK in the next couple of weeks, are two new products from Freedom Mallows that already picked up a Silver Innovation Award at the Free From Awards and are creating a buzz on social media; creamy vanilla and strawberry marshmallows covered in delicious crunchy vegan chocolate.

Next, we can’t wait to tuck into the new Cookies ‘n Cream biscuits being added to the Vegan Bakery brand. As with the products from Freedom Mallows – they are certified by The Vegan Society.

And to wash down these sweet treats, health drink Captain Kombucha will be extending its range with two new creative flavours – Cayenne Pepper and Pineapple Peach, and will also be launching a 1 litre range for those of us that just can’t get enough goodness in our guts! In addition, Tesco has also been added to the list of Captain Kombucha retailers and will be selling the products from mid-May.

A new dairy free water kefir range of sparkling fermented drinks is also being launched under the Oh My Gutness Brand, and the range will be sold in 100 Sainsbury’s stores across the UK from May.

And last, but certainly not least, organic and Fairtrade drinks brand Little Miracles are launching a 1 litre carton in their green tea and lemongrass flavours. The carton, including the lid, is fully plant-based and recyclable and this joins their already strong line up of impulse bottles and shots.

Lisa Gawthorne Co-Founder at Bravura Foods (and also a respected vegan spokesperson who will shortly be walking on fire to raise money for animals) stated that:

“We are having our busiest ever time with respect to new product development and it’s something we feel is hugely important in the vegan food and drink market. The market dynamics have changed immeasurably and all brands and private label products are really upping their efforts. Last year we grew 48% and we are looking to grow again this year in the region of 35% as we continue to offer unique and quirky products to the market in the health food, grocery, high street retail, convenience and pharmacy sectors.”
