Coffee chain Caffè Nero has launched a vegan toastie sandwich, the Sundried Tomato & Pesto Tostati
Adding to the many new vegan food and drink offerings from the high street comes the new toastie from coffee house Caffè Nero, the Sundried Tomato & Pesto Tostati. And it is fantastic!
Made with sundried tomato sourdough bread, the new sandwich contains dairy-free mozzarella cheese, zingy vegan pesto, sun-dried cherry tomatoes, vegan tomato mayonnaise and fresh salad leaves. All toasted.
Available nationwide, the Tostati is the latest offering on the Caffè Nero vegan menu, joining the coffee shop’s coconut or soya porridge, falafel flatbread, crudité pack, and apple & blackcurrant crumble bar. Hot drinks can also be made with soya, coconut or oat milk.
A spokesperson for Caffè Nero commented:
“Our Tostati range is hugely popular and we’ve had lots of demand from customers for a vegan Tostati in the range. We committed to only launching one when the quality and taste met our standards and would really excite our customers, and we’re very confident this does.”
Caffè Nero said it plans to continue bringing out innovative vegan products, and will be launching new menu items soon.* In addition, it’s bringing back its “hugely popular and delicious” mince pies this Christmas, which are also vegan.
Other coffee houses to add new vegan items this season include Starbucks, Costa and Pret. From pumpkin spice lattes to almond butter bites and sticky toffee & pecan cookies, we are thrilled with the continually developing menus in cafes and restaurants across the land.
There is literally no stopping the rise of veganism!
