One burger chain that has been slow to catch up with the vegan times is Five Guys, but we’re not giving up on them just yet.
Okay, so, pretty much the only vegan item currently available on the Five Guys menu is their fries – and marvellous fries they are too – but we know they can do better!
When restaurants fail to cater for plant-based diets, it doesn’t necessarily mean that vegans should write them off forever. Here’s 3 things you can do to help sway them towards embracing the vegan lifestyle…
- Tweet, comment or message them on social media asking about vegan options.
- Email their customer services department (larger chains usually have one) and tell them how amazing it would be if they introduced plant-based options to their menu. Make sure they know that there is a growing tribe of plant-based burger lovers waiting to embrace them with open arms!
- Pop into your local branch and ask staff and managers in person. This sort of easy activism is a great way to plant a seed and let them know that the local demand is there. Get them to advocate for you to the decision makers higher up.
You don’t have to be pushy about it but, let’s face it, demand equals supply! Be the change, people!
