Challenge Your Society!

You may have already heard about Veganuary, but if not please check out our website and see what we’re all about.

We want to share with you the details about a competition we are running, just for students, in the run up to January.

To win, your society needs to get the most people to sign-up at and pledge to try vegan this January! The winners will receive a hamper of vegan goodies and DVDs!

As someone who already cares about animals, this is an excellent way to be active on campus. And with New Year’s Resolutions approaching, what better to start the year than reducing suffering and helping our planet.

How it works:

– People need to sign up to try vegan.

– NOW THE IMPORTANT BIT: when you get to the registration page, there’s a couple of questions to answer. The second to last question says ‘How did you hear about Veganuary?’ Here you need to answer ‘other’ and write the name of your society in the text box provided, i.e. ‘Sheffield Veg Society’.

During January, we’ll download the data and the society with the most sign ups wins – simples! We contact the lucky winners and announce on Facebook (follow us here).

As a predominately online campaign, we find social media is one of the best ways to spread the message and get people involved. You can check out our Facebook page for loads of other ideas.

It’d be great to have you on take part!
