Even when vegan options are lacking on a menu, with a bit of creativity you can still put together a satisfying meal. Take Little Chef for example…
While so many restaurants are going all-out with the vegan menu options, others are slower to catch on, but that doesn’t mean you necessarily have to go hungry. Here’s how to make the Little Chef menu* work for you:
- Order a breakfast with: hash browns, mushrooms, saute potatoes, toast (exc. butter), grilled tomatoes and baked baked beans.
- You could also order a jacket potato (exc. butter) and add beans or salad.
- The chips, chunky chips and mixed veg are also suitable.
- There may also be fruits available.

And if you really don’t fancy any of that, there are plenty of other high street chain restaurants out there that are welcoming vegans in with open arms (and full plates) so you won’t have to look too much further.
It’s important to remember that, even when a restaurant doesn’t advertise vegan menu options, it’s certainly not a reason to avoid it entirely. It’s all about supply and demand! The more vegans requesting plant-based options at places like Little Chef will lead to more options being available in the long run. Be the change, people!
