Living an Organic Plant-Based Lifestyle

Living an organic lifestyle means living in a way that is good for you and for the environment. It is a lifestyle that encourages thoughtful and responsible decision-making so that the choices you make, have a positive impact on you and the planet.

Provamel products are 100% organic. This means they

– have not been treated with pesticides or artificial fertilizers.

– are free from artificial flavourings, colours, preservatives, and GMO.

– respect the environment (e.g. no soya beans are grown in the rainforest).

– stimulate biodiversity.

– are ethically-sourced.

– are lactose-free and most products are also gluten-free.

– are vegan, so animal-friendly.

Good for you, good for the planet too

Plant-based foods are just as NUTRITIOUS as meat or dairy, but are far more SUSTAINABLE.
And we can prove it. All plant-based foods such as soya foods, nut-based drinks, vegetable crops and fruits need less LAND, less WATER, and emit less CO2 compared to meat and dairy production.

Figuring out how to feed the world’s growing 7 billion population is pretty tricky. But we know one of the answers lies in plant-based foods. Did you know for example that the production of soya uses 3 times less land and the production of almonds uses 10% less land compared to cow’s milk. Did you know that with just 1 hectare of land you can feed 30 people with plant-based foods and only 6 people with meat and dairy products?

In addition to that Provamel’s production processes are C02-neutral as a result of saving energy, replacing fossil fuels with green energy, and investing in external CO2 reducing projects.

We also tend to source as local as possible. Today, already 85% of our soya beans come from Europe, with concrete plans to make that 100% in the near future. Our almonds, hazelnuts, and spelt come from Europe as well. The more exotic ingredients not native to Europe (such as cashew and macadamia) are sourced in their natural habitat with the utmost respect.

Besides that we engage in long-term partnerships with our organic farmers under the IBD ecosocial program. This ensures a qualitative and constant supply of ingredients that can be traced back to their source. But it also entails fair living conditions and ethically responsible dealings.
