Meet Pearl and Merle from Edgar’s Mission!

Edgar’s Mission is a not for profit Farm Sanctuary in Australia that seeks to create a humane and just world for humans and non-humans. It was founded by Pam Ahern and named after her first rescued pig, Edgar.

Edgar Alan Pig, aka “the pig who started it all” sadly passed away shortly after his 7th birthday party in April 2010. Edgar, a gentle giant, touched so many people and was an amazing ambassador for pigs and farmed animals everywhere. He is missed beyond words – but his mission continues…

Two recent rescues are Pearl (brown face) and Merle (black face).

Born to the dairy industry and quickly taken away from their mothers, theirs were destined to be harsh and short lives. But with kindness and a good heart on their side, things took turn for the better. Watch their video by clicking the image below:
