Most resolutions are aimed at telling you that you\u2019re not good enough. Every January, we\u2019re hit with the same tired messages: Fix yourself. Become someone different. Change everything.

But what if you didn’t need to reinvent yourself? What if it’s less about changing and more about returning to who you already are?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world is asking a lot of us right now. So this Veganuary, let\u2019s flip the script and leave the resolution pressure behind: New Year, Same You.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what do you mean by “Same You”?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You already care deeply about animals. You share heartwarming animal videos on social media, you sign petitions, you\u2019ll cross the street to greet a dog.

Or maybe you visited farm sanctuaries as a kid and remember how much you loved those pigs? You love animals but you couldn’t ever imagine not having a bacon sandwich as a new year’s day pick-me-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, what if there was a way to still be “you” but more so? Trying vegan isn\u2019t about becoming someone else. It\u2019s about bringing your meals closer to the values you already live by. We’re here to help!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\t

I already love animals. How does Veganuary actually help them?<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

For every one million people eating vegan for one month, the lives of 3.4 million animals are spared<\/a>. In January 2025, over 25.8 million people worldwide chose to try vegan with us<\/a>. Imagine how many animals\u2019 lives were spared during Veganuary alone.<\/p>\n

Eating plants instead of animals reduces demand, leading to fewer animals being bred and killed for food. And what greater way is there of showing animals how much you love them?<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Can you tell me a little bit about animals in the food industry?<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Despite what people may believe, animal farming is far from humane, even in organic or \u2018high-welfare\u2019 circumstances.<\/p>\n

Cows<\/strong>: Did you know that, like humans, cows need to be pregnant and give birth in order to produce milk? Because of this, calves are commonly separated from their mothers shortly after birth so that their mother\u2019s milk can be collected for human consumption? The cycle of impregnation and separation<\/a> continues over their lifetime.<\/p>\n

Chickens<\/strong>: Chickens used for meat are bred to grow as big as possible in the shortest amount of time<\/a> to maximise profit, leading many to struggle with painful leg issues and cramped conditions. There\u2019s cruelty inherent in the egg industry too; because male chicks don\u2019t lay eggs, they\u2019re routinely culled shortly after hatching.<\/p>\n

Pigs<\/strong>: Pregnant sows are often confined in restrictive crates<\/strong>. Pigs are commonly subjected to castration and routinely have their tails cut off.<\/p>\n

Fish<\/strong>: Harmful perceptions about fish such as \u201cDo fish even feel pain?\u201d persist despite plenty of scientific evidence proving their intelligence and capacity to suffer. Industrial fishing practices also lead to \u201cbycatch\u201d \u2013 the process whereby unintended species are captured too. This can include dolphins, marine turtles, sea birds and more<\/a>!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Because trying vegan lets your kindness scale. Each plant-based meal nudges our food system toward fewer animals bred, confined and harmed. You don\u2019t need to change who you are. You get to be more of who you are<\/strong>: caring, consistent and quietly powerful.<\/p>\n
