We tailor this website to suit our participants and followers\u00a0&#8211; adding the content that gets\u00a0requested via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/veganuary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social media<\/a> and <a title=\"Contact\" href=\"\/contact\/\">direct messages<\/a>. Please keep giving us your feedback, as your needs\u00a0shape what we do.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did we do this year?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>12,800 people officially signed up to Veganuary.com for January 2015<\/strong>, with over 4,000 coming from the States.<\/li>\n<li>The UK had the second highest number of participants, and Australia was third.<\/li>\n<li>Mexico, Spain, France and Germany all featured in the top ten.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As well as tracking the age, gender and eating habits of all our participants, our follow-up survey gave us the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>71% of respondents felt an improvement in their health<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>65% discovered something they didn\u2019t previously know about animal agriculture<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>And a whopping 51% are <em>staying vegan<\/em>! <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These results have inspired us to move quickly into our next phase, the <a title=\"Our New Campaign: Try Vegan, Stay Vegan\" href=\"https:\/\/veganuary.com\/new-campaign-try-vegan-stay-vegan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Try Vegan, Stay Vegan<\/strong><\/a> campaign.<\/p>\n<p>This new focus allows us to continue the momentum of January and engage with past participants, as well as extending our reach and communicating with those who are not yet familiar with veganism. We\u2019ll continue to promote the benefits of a plant-based diet in relation to reducing animal suffering, protecting the environment, and improving people\u2019s health throughout the year, before switching into full campaign mode in November.
