Este \u00faltimo no es derivado de las legumbres pero que tienen una textura muy similar a las carnes y que aporta buena cantidad de prote\u00ednas. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Destacan dentro de las legumbres los garbanzos y el poroto de soya, que contienen todos los amino\u00e1cidos esenciales. Otras, como lentejas y porotos, contienen amino\u00e1cidos limitantes, esto quiere decir un amino\u00e1cido esencial que no est\u00e1 presente, pero cuando combinamos durante el d\u00eda junto a otras fuentes alimentarias como cereales o vegetales podemos obtener ese amino\u00e1cido faltante.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otra fuente importante de prote\u00ednas y amino\u00e1cidos son los pseudocereales como qu\u00ednoa o amaranto y semillas como ch\u00eda, linaza, s\u00e9samo, mijo, ETC.&nbsp; que nos aportan amino\u00e1cidos esenciales y tambi\u00e9n otros micronutrientes como hierro, calcio, zinc, entre otros.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 suplementos necesito si mantengo una alimentaci\u00f3n vegana?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"780\" height=\"462\" src=\"https:\/\/veganuary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/vitamina-b12-suplemento-clave-en-dietas-vegetarianas-y-veganas_1_780x462.jpeg\" alt=\"Vitamin b12 supplements\" class=\"wp-image-53330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veganuary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/vitamina-b12-suplemento-clave-en-dietas-vegetarianas-y-veganas_1_780x462.jpeg 780w, https:\/\/veganuary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/vitamina-b12-suplemento-clave-en-dietas-vegetarianas-y-veganas_1_780x462-400x237.jpeg 400w, https:\/\/veganuary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/vitamina-b12-suplemento-clave-en-dietas-vegetarianas-y-veganas_1_780x462-768x455.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px\" \/><figcaption>AdobeStock<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>La vitamina B12 es el principal micronutriente que necesitamos suplementar cuando llevamos un estilo de vida vegano, incluso siendo ovolactovegetariano se recomienda la suplementaci\u00f3n, o siendo flexitariano (consumo de carnes pocas veces al mes). De todas formas, siempre se recomienda acercarse a alg\u00fan profesional especializado para tomar ex\u00e1menes y entregar indicaci\u00f3n de suplementos y verificar otras vitaminas y minerales que pueden requerir suplementaci\u00f3n, como por ejemplo la vitamina D, hierro, u otros.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Existen diferentes tipos de suplementos que pueden ser por v\u00eda oral de forma diaria o semanal y tambi\u00e9n a trav\u00e9s de inyecci\u00f3n intramuscular de forma semestral. La v\u00eda y el tipo de suplementos depender\u00e1 de diferentes factores que debe evaluar el personal capacitado.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 consideraciones nutricionales deber\u00edan tener las personas veganas en las diferentes etapas de su vida? <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuando evaluamos las diferentes etapas del ciclo vital debemos tener en cuenta los requerimientos nutricionales de cada una de estas etapas. <strong>La vitamina B12 debe ser obligatoria para cualquier etapa del ciclo vital.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mujeres embarazadas: la vitamina B12, hierro, calcio, vitamina D y&nbsp;omega 3 son algunos de los nutrientes m\u00e1s importantes que deben estar presentes durante el periodo de embarazo, algunos son obligatorios como la vitamina B12 y el omega 3; y otros deber\u00e1n ser evaluados a trav\u00e9s de ex\u00e1menes para considerar la suplementaci\u00f3n&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En ni\u00f1os: vitamina B12, hierro, calcio y vitamina D por su crecimiento; omega 3 en forma de EPA y DHA se recomienda hasta los 3 a\u00f1os para el desarrollo del sistema nervioso central y retina.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adultos mayores: debemos considerar nutrientes como las prote\u00ednas; la vitamina B12 en algunos casos deber\u00e1 ser por inyecci\u00f3n intramuscular por la poca capacidad de absorberla por v\u00eda oral o por el uso de algunos medicamentos.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mujeres en periodo de lactancia: tambi\u00e9n deben tener especial cuidado en la vitamina B12, ya que bajos niveles en&nbsp;la madre se traducen en bajos niveles en la leche materna. Adem\u00e1s, la vitamina D y el calcio son importantes para cuidar la salud \u00f3sea de la madre.
