The Real Greek

The Reak Greek now has a brand new vegan menu!

It is fitting that a traditional Greek chain should include so many vegan options on its menu – with vegan diets in the country dating back hundreds of years. The philosopher Pythagoras, apparently, was on a plant-based diet way back in 550 BCE.

We’re delighted then, that The Real Greek has so many delicious options. We’ve listed them all below (and you can view it on their website)!

The menu designed by Michelin star Greek Chef, Nikos Karathanos, offers a selection of our best vegan recipes and some new specials!

They include delicious dishes such as Vegan Tzatziki – cool tangy Soya yoghurt with cucumber, gherkin and garlic, Eatplanted Vegan Chicken Monastiraki – pea protein “chicken”, marinated with herbs and served with vegan Tzatziki, Eatplated Vegan Pulled Pork – pea protein “pulled pork” topped with a Padron pepper and served on a bed of tahini sauce and Cauliflower Yahni – cauliflower florets in tomato sauce, served in a bed of herby cauliflower rice. Choose between Flatbread or Crudités, a Greek dip, a Hot Meze and a Side for £11.95 and have a great Veganuary!

VEGAN TZATZIKI – Cool, tangy Soya yoghurt with cucumber, gherkin and garlic. Served with a whole green olive.

SANTORINI FAVA- Yellow lentils from Santorini, cooked and blended with herbs and spices, topped with a salsa of tomatoes, onions, capers and caper powder.

HOUMOUS – Our daily blend of chickpeas, rich in tahini and spiced with cumin, topped with paprika and roasted red peppers.

BEETROOT SALAD – Diced beetroot mixed with soya yoghurt, with a tangy orange vinaigrette.

VEGAN CHICKEN MONASTIRAKI – Eat Planted pea protein “chicken”, marinated with Greek herbs, served with vegan tzatziki, onion and tomatoes.
