Tofu Steak Baps

  • 1 pack organic smoked tofu

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Splash Shoyu sauce
  • Seeded Baps
  • Other fillings of your choice (suggestion in recipe)

Just like its cousin tempeh, tofu makes a great sandwich filling!

Cooking Instructions
  • Slice the tofu into 4 pieces.
  • Heat a heavy based pan and warm the oil.
  • Fry the tofu steaks for 2-3 minutes.
  • Turn over add a splash of shoyu (natural soy sauce) and fry for a few more minutes.
  • Spread some vegan mayonnaise on a toasted seeded bap, dress with some lettuce leaves and shredded carrot.
  • Place two of the tofu steaks on top and add some roasted onion and pepper relish.
