An Essex-based crisp company has launched a vegan Bacon & Tomato flavour potato snack

Fairfield’s Farm claims the new crisp flavour is: “a delicious combination of subtle, bacon flavours with a sweet and tangy tomato aftertaste,” while being completely vegan.
The launch is the company’s first vegan ‘meat flavoured’ option, although other vegan crisps in its range include Sweet Chilli, Sea Salt & Black Pepper and Sea Salt & Aspall Cyder Vinegar.
The artisan crisp manufacturer, established in 2006, is aiming to target both vegan and gluten-free shoppers with the Bacon & Tomato flavour, which is available to buy from independent retailers with an RRP of 80p for a 40g bag.
Co-founder Laura Strathern said:
“The flavours are really delicious and distinct and we know they will appeal hugely to our vegan and vegetarian clientele who often seek out more unusual flavours when it comes to snacking.”
