My vegan journey started last February when as a convinced omnivore I challenged myself to eating vegan for one month because it had been all over the media recently and I wanted to find out what this new hype was all about. I chose February because it's the shortest month and I was considerably sure I could survive 28 days without burgers, pastries or salmon sushi rolls (if only just).
On 1 March, however, I had no desire to go back to “normal” and decided to keep going until I got bored of it or couldn’t resist a craving.
It’s 29 December today and I still haven’t (willfully and/or consciously) ingested any more animal products.
I’m in great shape, my GP says he’d be out of work if he only had patients like me and I am still a proud blood donor.
Going vegan was definitely the right decision for me.
