Screen icon Samuel L Jackson has featured in over 100 films, and is perhaps best known for his parts in Captain America, Jurassic Park and The Incredibles. He won a BAFTA and was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his role as gangster Jules Winnfield in 1994’s Pulp Fiction.
Jackson was taken by New York Times Bestselling book ‘Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease’, by Dr Caldwell Esselstyn, which presents the results of a 20 year study suggesting that a vegan diet can help prevent and reverse the progression of heart disease. Jackson visited the author and his wife, and credits their conversation with convincing him to adopt a vegan diet.
He told the Examiner:
“I feel great. I have a lot more energy than I used to have. I sleep better. I like the way I look in my clothes better. I don’t cramp as much. I exercise better. I think my circulation has gotten better.”
He’s credited veganism as helping him shed 40lbs in eight months.
So what do the French call a vegan quarter pounder with cheese?
