Food has always been a big thing for me. At the age of 28 I was binge eating, drinking and taking drugs.
I ballooned to 23 stone (322 lbs). Then after my doctor told me I was depressed and pushed pills on me I decided to take life into my own hands and starting running.
18 months later I finished the London marathon in 3 hrs 45 minutes now weighing 13 stone (182 lbs) and feeling great, but my diet still wasn’t great but then after suffering from high blood pressure and a life saving operation for an aneurism I had to do something and something quick.
I became a vegan and have never looked back. No more pills, blood pressure is as it should be and at the age of 45 I have never felt more alive and excited about life. Plus I am fitter than ever too. Being vegan for me is about loving my body, the planet and knowing that I will be around for a lot longer.
