The Humane League’s mission from the time of our launch in 2005 has been to reduce as much animal suffering as possible. We want a world where all animals are treated with the same amount of kindness and consideration given to beloved family cats and dogs.
Through smart, local, grassroots outreach combined with national corporate campaigns and online advertisements, informed in part by our research department, Humane League Labs, The Humane League (THL) is able to maintain a high standard of effectiveness. Our carefully selected programming provides THL with the opportunity to educate millions every year about the plight of animals raised and abused on factory farms. Following education with reasonable requests and calls to action at both an individual and corporate level, The Humane League spares hundreds of thousands of animals from the misery of intensive farming practices, shaping a more humane and sustainable future for us all!
Since 2012, our success has earned The Humane League recognition as being one of the Top Two Animal Charities in the United States according to Animal Charity Evaluators. Our organization is also certified Best in America by Independent Charities of America. We share these accolades with our ever-expanding base of incredible volunteers! An active, engaged community continues to be a cornerstone of The Humane League experience, virtually guaranteeing victories for animals.
Originally rooted in Philadelphia, The Humane League has grown to be a leading national presence for farm animals in the US with offices in Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle. Due to funding from the growing number of tens of thousands of supporters across the world, we are frequently branching out to new cities! Thank you for protecting the most vulnerable.
