Travelodge to Cater for Travelling Vegans

Travelodge expands menu with brand transformation as demand for meat-free options continues to grow

Vegan Curry on offer at Travelodge

You’ve been out on the road exploring the sights, now back at your Travelodge hotel and unwinding after a day of fun-filled tourist activities, debating your food options for the evening. You could always nip out and find a nice vegan restaurant close by, but wouldn’t it be great if your hotel could serve you up something nice?

Something to satisfy your tastebuds when all you want to do is enjoy a tasty vegan feast, put your feet up and fall asleep watching Emmerdale.

With the launch of UK hotel chain Travelodge’s new vegan and vegetarian menu, that’s exactly what you can do.

This launch coincides with the continued renovation works the hotel chain is going through, as part of its transformation programme to provide customers with a higher quality, improved experience. Both vegetarian and vegan options are grouped together with the classic V symbol, so guests are encouraged to ask a member of staff what options fall within the vegan category.

As part of the vegan range, the hotel can provide a falafel burger for guests to enjoy, a roasted vegetable jalfrezi curry, superfood salad and skin on fries. Some alterations would need to be made, such as exclusion of the naan bread with the curry or no bun with the burger, but this is certainly a step in the right direction.

These offerings fall within the new Bar Café restaurants that have been developed by the hotel chain, and appeal to customers’ wallets as well as tastebuds, priced at a reasonable £12 for two courses (not to mention children under age eight eat for free).

Travelodge also offers its unlimited breakfast buffet for £8.95, and a lighter option for £5.95 – this wouldn’t be a specific vegan breakfast, but there are still options to choose from should you desire a hearty meal to start your day.

Time for Emmerdale and a jalfrezi, anyone?
