Matthew is the co-founder of Veganuary. After being vegetarian for 10 years, Matthew watched ‘the video the meat industry doesn’t want you to see’ and was shocked to see the cruel realities behind the dairy and egg industries. He then went vegan. And now he wants the whole world to join him! Veganuary is Matthew’s solution to making veganism an easy and tasty experience for everyone.
Jane is the co-founder of Veganuary. She was a vegetarian for 10 years before she met Matthew. Now she wonders why it took her so long to become a vegan too! Jane thinks that Veganuary is the perfect way for people to try vegan food and learn about the suffering of farmed animals and the impact that meat-eating has on people’s health and the natural world.
Simon was Veganuary’s Chief Executive from 2017 until early 2019. He became vegetarian aged seven and went vegan in 2012 having met a number of inspirational vegans. A lifelong environmentalist with a background in voluntary sector management, he loves travel, wildlife, the outdoors and words. He's passionate about changing the world.
Jude is a qualified accountant and is responsible for all things financial. She turned vegan four years ago following the birth of her daughter, having been vegetarian for 26 years prior to that. When she’s not number crunching, Jude enjoys going out on adventures with her family and miniature schnauzer puppy Nero, long distance walking and running. She is still aiming for her elusive sub four hour marathon time whilst wearing the Veganuary running vest!
Jen was Veganuary's Digital Marketing & Engagement Officer from 2017 to 2018. Like most people, she was raised on an omnivorous diet. She's not sure when she began getting curious about veganism, but there was always something about food production that she felt she wanted to know more about. She came across a video called ‘Meet Your Meat’ on YouTube and, after this, her diet changed forever!
