I’m Sue Rookley and I am the Finance Manager here at Fry’s UK. I became Vegan about six months ago, after being vegetarian/vegan since the beginning of 2015. I decided to follow a vegan diet for ethical and health reasons, and since joining Fry’s in July 2015, to support our brandI will admit that I was a bit worried that my vegan diet wouldn’t be nutritious enough to support the level of exercise I was doing, but I found quite the opposite! My energy levels increased considerably and I have been able to train for numerous long distance cycle rides this year including the Prudential Ride London 100 mile sportive. I think as long as you eat a well-balanced diet that includes foods from all the food groups, and take advantage of the meat alternatives that are available (especially Fry’s), you can’t go far wrong. My favourite vegan product is Fry’s Rice Protein and Chia Nuggets - Yum!
