Following successful launches in both Sweden and Finland, the iconic chocolate-covered ice cream has now made its tasty vegan debut in the UK
We announced Vegan Magnum’s recent Nordic roll-out a few weeks ago and now the 100% vegan version of the popular premium ice cream hits UK shelves today (14 September). As more and more manufacturers realise that they can reach wider audiences with plant-based versions of their products, Magnum becomes the latest to join the trend.
These delectable sticks of smooth vanilla ice cream coated in rich chocolate couverture have that signature cracking experience – providing everything you would expect from these posh choc ices.
Available in both Classic and Almond flavours, the velvety ice cream is crafted from pea protein, a plant-based alternative to dairy. Magnum’s Belgian master chocolatiers use only the highest quality ingredients including cocoa beans carefully selected from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms. The indulgent new ice cream sticks are also certified by the European Vegetarian Union.
The company says:
“At Magnum we believe you should be free to indulge in whatever pleasure you choose. After all, a day without pleasure, is a day lost. For the first time ever, we have created a vegan product meaning more people can truly experience the unrivalled indulgence of a Magnum than ever before.”
The Magnum Vegan costs £3.69 RRP (270ml stick) and is available exclusively at Tesco stores and online but will likely be rolled out to other stores in future. Look out for its green and gold packaging in shops now!
