Peter Egan talks about his experience of veganism

As Christmas fast approaches, the Veganuary team have received a sack full of gifts, and they’ve come in the form of celebrity messages of goodwill and support for our Try-Vegan-in-January campaign.

Now running as a Talking Heads series, the 60 second videos, are being released every few days across our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter channels.

TV Presenter and Veganuary Ambassador Jasmine Harman has told us why she quit cheese, after a lifetime of loving the stuff. Fellow Ambassador and Dancing with the Stars finalist, Evanna Lynch explains why we don’t have to choose between animal rights and human rights when our minds are big enough to care about both. And Spanish international and Arsenal footballer Héctor Bellerín found that a vegan diet wasn’t just suitable for him, it was better for his body too.

Also featuring in the series are British actor and Veganuary ambassador Peter Egan, who explains how going vegan can be much easier than you think. Peter debunks one of the greatest myths of veganism in just 1 minute!

From the world of professional sport, legendary Aussie cricketer Jason Gillespie bowls us over with his knowledge of the leather industry and explains its full impact for animals, people and the planet. While Preston North End goalkeeper Declan Rudd tells us why veganism is his catch of the day. He’s the latest professional football star to go vegan – a trend that started in 2018, and which we expect to continue through 2019.

But just like Secret Santa, we’re not revealing all now. Instead over the next 6 weeks they’ll be plenty to learn, inspire and engage with from within this series. With tens of thousands of people across the globe about to set to out on their month-long vegan pledge with Veganuary, checking this series is out is a must. It will help set you on a path towards cruelty-free living.
