KID-FRIENDLY LUNCHBOX SNACKS
Most busy parents rely on packaged snacks – whether they’re for tossing in a lunch box or handing out in the car. Here are some of our favorite on-the-go snacks that are convenient, kid-approved, and fully vegan.
Forager Project Kids Cashewmilk Yogurt
Packed with probiotics, calcium, and essential vitamins D, A & B12, Forager Project’s kids’ line of 100% vegan yogurt comes in 3.2oz. pouches that fit perfectly into lunchboxes that allow families (even those with strict dietary restrictions) to take organic on-the-go. Plus, they just won Best Kids Yogurt in the 2022 Good Housekeeping Healthy Snack Awards, going up against traditional dairy yogurt brands. Try it in organic Mango, Berry Berry, and Strawberry flavors. Find Forager Project.
Abe’s Muffins
Abe’s offers “school-friendly,” treats that are 100% peanut, tree nut (other than coconut), dairy, egg, sesame, soy, and pea protein-free. Their bite-sized brownies and muffins make the perfect vegan and allergen-free lunchbox treat, and their cakes are a favorite of many parents and teachers for inclusive classroom celebrations. Hippeas Puffs and Chips
HIPPEAS® Organic Chickpea Snacks are made from the small, but mighty chickpea. Kid’s love their fun flavors like Vegan White Cheddar and Vegan Nacho Vibes, and parents can feel great knowing that they pack 3g of protein and 3g of fiber per every 1 oz serving. Plus, they’re non-GMO, gluten-free, and contain no nuts or soy. Find Hippeas.
Banza
Beans – great for your health, and gentle on the planet. But are you eating enough of them? Banza is here to help by turning chickpeas into protein-filled pastas, pizza crusts, and more that kids and adults both love. In addition to their fan-favorite pasta that has 50% more protein and 3x more fiber than traditional pasta, they now offer vegan mac and cheese and pizza varieties that make lunchtime a snap! Banza does offer a few products that aren’t vegan-friendly, so be sure to check the label. Find Banza.
Rule Breaker Snacks
Rule Breaker Snacks break all the rules (no flour! no eggs! no butter!). Chickpeas are the first ingredient. But their soft-baked treats are so chewy and delicious, you’d never know. They come in kid-friendly flavors like Deep Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Chunk Blondie, and Birthday Cake (but we won’t blame you if you want to pack one in your work bag too!). Find Rule Breaker.
