Maple and Pumpkin Smoothie

Ingredients

  1. 3 cups steamed butternut pumpkin
  2. 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  3. 8-12 tablespoons maple syrup
  4. 2 cups organic coconut milk or cream
  5. Half cup rice milk
  6. 1 avocado
  7. 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  8. Pinch allspice
  9. Pinch nutmeg
  10. Pinch ground cloves

Pumpkin pie in a glass!

Method

Allow the pumpkin to cool. The avocado adds creaminess, and is nutrient rich.

Combine all ingredients until smooth and creamy.

Optional: for a protein burst, add half a cup cooked (and cooled) quinoa when blending.

Serves four.
