The Best Berry Banana Smoothie

Banana berry smoothie
Prep Time: 2M
Serves: 2

I love smoothies, but I don’t have an endless budget or an enormous fridge for a zillion ingredients. So this is my ‘go-to’, easy, yummy smoothie, where the only effort is cleaning out the blender.

There's more where this came from!

Ingredients

  1. Plant milk of your choice – just under a large glass full (I usually opt for rice or almond)
  2. A handful of frozen berries (mixed bag or blueberries are my favourite)
  3. 1 x banana
  4. 2 x tablespoons of dairy free yoghurt (Alpro Vanilla is great)
  5. 1 x tablespoon of chia seeds

  • Frozen berries are my secret smoothie weapon! So much cheaper and longer-lasting than buying fresh (for smoothie making). Plus they make the smoothie lovely and chilled, so it’s a win/win all round. You’ll find bags of these at any supermarket, and can get a mixed berry bag or entire bags of blueberries, raspberries etc. I love blueberries though as they’re delicious and full of antioxidants, including vitamin K.

Method

  • Put everything into a blender
  • Blend
  • Pour
  • Drink

You can add your ingredients to the blender in any order, but I typically go milk first to stop anything sticking to the sides. Alter the ingredients levels to suit your taste and desired thickness – the more berries you add the thicker it gets!
