Try this combination of two much-loved breakfast foods – French toast and cinnamon rolls!
For The Batter
2 large bananas
1/4 cup general flour
1tsbp flax seed meal
1/2 cup plant milk of choice
2 tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
2 tbsp syrup (maple, agave, or jaggery – this is optional, for sweetness)
1/4 tsp black salt/ kala namak (for egg taste – optional)
As many slices of bread as you want!
For The Cinnamon Sugar
2 tbsp any kind of sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder (or more to taste)
For The Cinnamon Roll Icing
3 tbsp icing sugar
1/2 tbsp plant milk of choice
1. Mash the bananas to cream them, then whisk them along with all the other ingredients, or use a blender to mix it together.
2. Dip your bread into the batter on both sides and gently lift it with a spatula so it doesn’t tear and place it on a hot non-stick pan that has been lightly brushed with cooking oil.
3. Cook on each side for 1-2 minutes or until its browned and crispy.
4. Take off pan and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture and top with the icing.
