4 tbsp ragi flour (sprouted ragi flour is better)
¼ tsp cardamom powder, for flavour
2 tbsp jaggery powder
2 tbsp date paste/syrup
Nuts and seeds of choice, for garnish
1 piece fruit of your choice, cut into pieces
2 cups water
1 cup nut milk (optional)


  • Add the ragi flour to a saucepan on medium heat.
  • Add one cup of water and mix without forming lumps.
  • Add another cup of water and cook for four to five minutes.
  • Keep mixing and add more water if necessary to keep it a soupy consistency. Cook for two more minutes.
  • Lastly, add jaggery powder and mix well. Switch off the heat and add date paste.
  • Pour in a bowl and garnish with nuts, seeds and fruit.
