Corporate Outreach

Over the last decade, Veganuary has become a household name in the UK and is a well-established part of British culture. In YouGov research from January 2024, 75% of UK respondents reported having heard of Veganuary even if they have never taken part.

Every January, retailers vie with one another to bring out more, bigger, and better vegan products and menus to capitalise on the huge popularity of Veganuary.

According to Alexandra Clark, a food consultant who spent more than a decade in Brussels working for the vice-president of the European Parliament, “Campaigns such as Veganuary – in which people sign up to go vegan for the month of January – have been at the core of the plant-based revolution, driving companies in the food sector to launch a plethora of plant-based products.”

But our work with businesses takes place year-round – not just in January! From large multinational corporations to smaller high-street retailers, we offer support and promote their increased production of delicious animal-free items. In 2024, more than 2,100 new vegan products and menu options were launched globally during the month.

Some of the items that really got our pulses racing were Hard Rock Café’s global Veganuary menu, the lion’s mane ‘steak’ bulgogi at Wagamama, new vegan options at Dunkin’ Donuts, Costa Coffee’s vegan range in collaboration with BOSH! and the vegan BBQ chicken pizza at Papa Johns.

Our corporate collaborations are making plant-based foods so prevalent and so delicious that it is now easy for anyone to choose vegan options anywhere in the UK. We are now expanding this work globally!

Workplace Challenge

Our work with businesses doesn’t stop at product and menu collaborations, we also encourage them to run a Veganuary Workplace Challenge in January.

Over 115 businesses took part in Veganuary’s Workplace Challenge in the UK this year – a new record! Globally recognised brands like Just Eat Takeaway, Ernst & Young, Salesforce and Docusign got involved, as well as government bodies, councils, NHS trusts, universities, sports clubs and care homes. The diversity of organisations taking part is truly incredible!

We think it would be wonderful if every business ran a Veganuary Workplace Challenge, so we’ve made it as easy as could be. All of the resources can be downloaded from our site, we just need you to be a Workplace Champion and bring your colleagues along for the ride!
