For every one million official participants who eat vegan for 31 days, 6.2 million litres of water are saved, 3.4 million animals are spared from a lifetime of suffering, and the CO2 equivalent of 1.2 million flights from London to Paris is saved.
Veganuary appears to be single-handedly the most effective way of creating and sustaining new vegans, and it feels like that has had a massive impact on the acceptance of veganism into the mainstream and the availability of vegan goods in everyday life. As a vegan of 20+ years, it's astonishing to see the change from when I first started out, and I credit Veganuary with a significant contribution to that.
As one person, the impact I have is small, but by donating to Veganuary, I can have a bigger impact.

I feel that out of all of the vegan charities Veganuary has achieved the most and has the biggest impact. I think the tactic of easing people into veganism with no judgement, and supportive groups and resources, makes more impact than other tactics.
