Andy Lally is a world-class American race car driver and Street Luge racer.
He won the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year, and is best know for his road racing in the Grand Am Rolex Car Series, as well as the American Le Mans Series. He holds records for the most GT wins, most podiums and most top five finishes in Rolex Series history.
He has been an ethical vegan since 2009 and after visiting Farm Sanctuary at Watkins Glen stated:
I do it for ethical reasons, by this point in human evolution, we should be smart enough and kind enough to live without torturing other living beings just so we can enjoy a juicy lunch. There are plenty of plant-based options available that taste great and are excellent meat and dairy alternatives. If most people were able to see the mistreatment of these animals at factory farms and what goes on behind the scenes before it shows up to them in a nice shiny package they would be sick. Its very easy to find on the internet, stop pretending you cant find it and look it up.
He is also a blue belt in Jiu Jitsu competes in cross country mountain biking.
