  • You may wish to toast your seeds for extra flavour. Dry frying in a pan is the quickest and simplest way.

There's more where this came from!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1.5 cups of plant milk (use nut or rice milk if wanting soya-free)
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons of your favourite seeds

Method

  • Pour your oats and plant milk into a pan on a medium heat. (I typically go by the 1: 1.5 ratio: 1 cup of oats plus 1.5 cups of plant milk, but do whatever works for you.)
  • Heat until thickened until your liking
  • Pour into a bowl and top with sliced banana and your choice of seeds – pumpkin, sesame (as per the photo), chia, flax and sunflower all work well.

Variations: Play around with toppings to keep it varied. Cinnamon, nuts, dried fruit, berries and maple syrup all taste great.
