Homemade Fruit and Nut Chocolate

There’s some amazing vegan chocolate out there, but it’s also great fun making your own!

This homemade fruit and nut chocolate is a great weekend treat, or a mid-afternoon snack to enjoy with a cuppa.

  1. ¼ cup of melted coconut oil
  2. 1 heaped tbsp of cocoa powder
  3. Dash of tinned coconut milk (optional)
  4. Stevia or sweetener to taste (Maple syrup is also good)
  5. Handful of almonds, handful of hazelnuts, handful of raisins

Gently melt the coconut oil on a very low heat.

Add cocoa and sweetener and stir until smooth.

Pour in a small dish lined with baking paper.

Pop all your nuts and raisins in small plastic bag and bash a few times to crush them. Sprinkle on the chocolate mix and place in the freezer for 10-15 min. (Make sure it stays flat.)

Once frozen break into pieces and enjoy loads!
