2 red bell peppers
1 onion, thinly sliced
200g mushrooms
100g snow peas
1 fresh red chilli
1-2 spring onions
A generous glug of sesame oil
A handful of cashews
Squeaky Bean Heat & Eat Seasoned Chicken
Szechuan sauce
1 tsp sesame seeds

Sometimes we all need that satisfying feeling of cooking a meal, but it doesn’t mean you have to spend hours in the kitchen. This vegan chicken sizzler by Squeaky Bean is a simple, spicy, savoury and succulent dish.

Inspired by Squeaky Bean’s new Seasoned Chicken-Style Pieces, this recipe works as a stand-alone meal or served over some sticky rice for a banging stir fry.


  1. Slice the peppers into strips, thinly slice the onion, slice the mushrooms and wash the peas.
  2. Finely dice the chillies and slice the spring onion.
  3. Heat a splash of sesame oil into a wok over a med-high heat.
  4. Smash the vegetables and cashew nuts into the wok and stir for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the Squeaky Bean Chicken Style Pieces and keep stirring for another 2-3 minutes. Reduce the heat and add the sauce.
  6. Mix together the sauce, vegetables and Squeaky Bean in the wok and simmer for 3 minutes.
  7. Serve over sticky rice and garnish with chilli, spring onion and sesame seeds.
