Veganuary’s Meral Ince makes Natural Products’ 30 under 30 hot list!

The 26-year-old is recognised for her work making plant-based foods mainstream.

Veganuary, a global organisation encouraging people to try vegan in January and beyond, is thrilled to announce that one of its Corporate Engagement Manager, Meral Ince, has made Natural Products’ prestigious 30 under 30 hot list which recognises young talent in the green business sector. The 26-year-old has been working with businesses on their Veganuary product and menu launches for nearly two years and has helped increase the availability of plant-based options on Britain’s high street.

Thanks in part to Meral’s efforts, January 2020 saw more than 600 brands, restaurants and retailers take part in the Veganuary campaign and launch more than 1200 new vegan products and menus in the UK. Highlights included a vegan ‘pepperoni’ pizza at Pizza Hut, KFC’s first vegan ‘chicken’ burger, Gregg’s vegan ‘steak’ bake and Subway’s meatless meatball marinara sub – making it easier than ever for people to cut their carbon footprint without sacrificing the food they love.

Commenting on the accolade, Meral says, “I’m thrilled to have been included in Natural Products’ 30 Under 30 List. Having worked in the natural and vegan product industry for several years, it has been incredible witnessing the growth of veganism each year. It is an honour to be part of the team at Veganuary, and I feel privileged to help drive us to a plant-based future. Thank you to Natural Products for recognising my work.”

Preparations for Veganuary 2021 are already well underway. With the appetite for plant-based products skyrocketing as a result of Covid-19, it could be the biggest year yet!

Businesses that want to capitalise on the unmissable marketing opportunity that Veganuary presents should get in contact with our team on [email protected].
