Vegan fish and chips

This vegan fish and chips recipe is a plant-based twist on the British classic. Quick, easy and oh so delicious, serve this vegan fish and chips recipe to family and friends, or indulge alone.

Ingredients

Banana blossoms

Flour mixture:

Plain flour
Salt
Dill  

Batter:
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of Mighty Pea M.lk (or your favourite plant milk)
1/2 cup of water
1/4 cup of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt 

Method

  1. Rinse and drain the banana blossoms before preparing your flour mixture and batter.
  2. To prepare your batter, simply whisk together the flour, m.lk, water, baking powder and salt in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Coat the banana blossoms in flour mixture and then dip the banana blossoms in the batter.
  4. Fry until golden, removing any excess oil on a kitchen towel.
  5. Serve with a generous helping of chips and tomato ketchup.
