Britain’s most reliable political party enlists New Amsterdam star to voice campaign ad

Ryan Eggold narrates Veganuary’s new ‘Vote for Veggies’ campaign video

29th December 2023: With Veganuary 2024 just a few days away, the global campaign to try vegan for January and beyond has today launched its first political broadcast on behalf of the only vote that would definitely deliver benefits for the planet, animals and our health – a Vote for Veggies!

Voiced by actor Ryan Eggold of New Amsterdam and The Blacklist, the video urges people to cast a ‘vote for veggies’ as a way to reduce emissions, improve health, lower food bills, protect animals and promote healthier ecosystems.

The ad forms part of Veganuary’s 2024 strategy to focus on the OG of plant-based foods – plants! Namely, vegetables, fruits, beans, pulses, nuts, grains, etc.

Highlights include Woke-or-Not Tofu Scramble, Coalition Chickpea Curry, Peasful Protest Pasta and Fuel the Future Fajitas.

Veganuary’s International Head of Policy and Communications, Toni Vernelli, says:

“While much of Britain is rightly focused on the next general election and how it will impact issues that affect them, Veganuary is issuing a reminder that we need not wait to cast a vote for a greener planet, lower food bills and better health for our families – plants can do all of this!

By Voting for Veggies this January and signing up for Veganuary, everyone can take direct action on these critical issues. No protests, prison sentences or politicians required.”
